Farmers who took part in our demonstration plot programme are asking for it to be expanded.
The model is deliberately simple: establish demo farms that show the technology and inputs in real conditions, let farmers observe and learn from each other, then run a comparative yield analysis against traditional methods. The plots have been used across the northern states to trial liquid fertilizer on rice, maize and tomato.
The results are what drive the demand. Across our input programmes, more than 70% of trial farmers requested reorders, and farmers demonstrated 40% cost savings over traditional inputs. Conversion from demonstration to purchase is one of the metrics we track deliberately, alongside yield increase, farmer income improvement and retention.
More than 3,000 farmers have now been onboarded across Kano, Niger, Kaduna and Jigawa.
